Office Art

Office Art

16. 2. - 4 .3. 2006, c2c Gallery, Prague

OFFICE ART is an exhibition focused on and manipulating the environment and theme of the office. The project is based on the specific conditions of the c2c Gallery, which is located in the former offices. At the same time, it responds to inspiration from the office environment and appropriates the reality of the office, whether it is furniture, technical equipment or the very structure of office work characterized mainly by banality and monotony. The title of the exhibition relativizes the concept of "office art", in the sense of bad art designed to decoratively cover the wall of the office, and opens up the topic of confronting contemporary visual art with a characteristic office stereotype.
